FIRES OF TIME
Before time, there was fire.
Time and fire…
Fires of time…
Two great Eternal Ones
Spilling their life’s blood upon the stars
I was born of death and smoke
Yet in my birth was life and flame
Men thought they could control me.
They took my eyes…
They returned to me, created of fire.
They took my wings…
They were replaced, clouds of clinging smoke.
Rising in the sky
Snapped, broken chains
Falling in my wake
I have cast off the bonds of men
And soared the timeless skies on fire-blackened wings.
To quell the fires of my vengeance
Comes my everlasting opposite.
