But Horus cheated, it was actually impossible for Horus to kill Sanguinius in mortal, martial combat. So he cheated. He called upon the Chaos Gods to deliver him a slow foul death by using their psychic powers. Once Sanguinius had fallen in agony then Horus took his chance. Very nice picture. Im in the middle of converting a Sanguinius model at the moment. I have good ideas for him but he will have to have a sword, i cant convert his beloved spear...

| 10 Feb 2007 | -Cult- <syn | Loading...I know this picture has been up awhile but I just stumbled across it this morning. Outside of the being well informed on 40k this picture is simply astounding and I do prefer the b&w to a full color copy. There is always something classic about b&w and it just seems to fit the depiction of a Primarch quite well.
The Spear as Sanguinius's weapon is a total farce and strictly for the book. If you have ever seen the Horus Heresy art series the depictions of Sanguinius are with a sword. Also seeing as I have a limited edition print of the actual Horus Heresy concept art hanging on my wall signed by John Blanche. In which Sanguinius is wielding his great sword, which is an understatement because great doesn't cover its size heh. As for the weakening of Horus's armor as its been stated before, eh it may or may not have occured it has always been argued over. The primarily belief is that the Emperor was studying the warp and its energies at the Golden Palace and actually used warp energy to defeat Horus.
If anyone wants to protest my statement feel free to contact me at synthetik_ascent@hotmail.com I've been into 40k for going on 9 years and have tabled a Blood Angels army.

| 7 May 2008 | Warhammerfan | Loading...I think this is a good picture except one thing. Sanguinius wields the Spear of Talesto! Not a sword. No offence, I just hate swords Jason'Stogie' Stowe replies: "Actually the only place the "Spear of Telesto" is mentioned is in the novels. All other fluff has him with a great flaming sword." | |
