Here we have another picture of Crow, the bitchy yet tragic little courtesan-boy from Machra-la... All he really wants is for someone to want him, to love him, but since he's so very afraid to be rejected, his own defenses make sure to keep people away. A very messed-up kid. Don't you just want to take him home with you..?
This image of the scarred and fallen, yet defiant and proud little courtesan was inspired by the poem that's also translated and added to the image. ( Poem written by Swedish artist and author Jonas Gardell. )

Now let's see how many commentators neglect to read this text and mistake Crow for a girl...

*Gasp* he's a guy? i think i'm blind, i didn't know that, lol. why's he wearing make up, or perhaps it's paint? Well, it doesn't really matter to me because this picture is fantastic none the less!

I’ll have to admit, I ... ehm... had once... ehm, long time ago... Okay well, for about a minut ago.. I thought it was... okay, well... a girl. Sorry for that...

But it’s a wonderful picture, really love it. The hiding moon. I love the eyes, and the entire, you know, everything =S... Can’t explain it better.

if its a he... why doed ’he’ look like a girl? maybe if you took away the makeup and gave him a little facial hair then it would look like a guy. and he’s got a females shoulders and neck, there is a difference. i don’t know what it is thats different between them i just do. maybe the male neck and shoulders are stronger on more muscly but this is a girl. sorry

I don’t think he looks like a girl... I think what people need to understand is what exactly a courtisan is and that, yes, there are male ones and they do wear make-up. I admit the make-up made me think of a girl as well but if I imagine him without, he looks quite male 12
Great pic, anyway.
