From The Book of Three, first in Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain.

After their escape from Spiral Castle, Taran and Eilonwy meet up with a fellow escapee, the bard Fflewddur Fflam, whose enthusiastic eloquence is surpassed only by the scrupulous honesty of his magical harp, which breaks a string every time he tells a fib. This scene is meant to portray the moment the children begin to figure out this little eccentric detail.

This is just gorgeous - I love all the expressions. You have a very distinctive, non-Disney (*brr*) style. This is the first picture I've ever found of the wonderful Fflewddur Fflam and it's a beauty, so thank you! 12

This is a really great picture of Fflewwder (I can't spell names for the life of me) I read the last book and have had this almost scary obbsession with him (Fflewdder, if thats how I spell it) I can't find the books at the library! *bangs head against wall* Sorry, but your art will now be stared at for 15 minutes.

I think I saw this when i was younger as a cartoon film called 'The Black Cauldron', it seems there are many versions of it! You're pictures are wonderful and depict the story in such a delightful concept

Dude.... I want those boots!!! They look flippin' wicked sweet, which is very high praise from me! Great detail work... I like it alot. The eessions are awesome, as well.
