In a fairy mood...I wanted to do something sort of flat and mono-chromatic, so I used variants of blue and purple colored pencil. I like the sort of diaphanous clothing on fairies, and enjoy the challenge of drawing it.

Yah know she would be great in a magical fairy theme kinda a winter fairy yeah. I think it takes a great amount of talent to do something as great as this with one color using the diff. shades to amit the corect depth, the 3 dementional look and the depiction of lighting by the intensity of the blue you used

(Last comment, I promise!) Hm....I submitted my
comment(s), looked back at the picture, and had to submit one more. 2 I love the feet!!!! They are so pretty, it annoys me. (If you can relate...)The hair is also amazing, and the leaves...! Now, I'm not much of an artist myself, but I did notice that her hand (in the foreground) looks a little flat. I don't want to complain, though; I love it all! Blue and purple happen to be two of my most favorite colors, along with bright lime green. Great work! Keep it up! 2

:-) Dawn D Davidson replies: "Thanks Keeper. Can I have a marshmallow? Feet are a challenge, I grant you - I almost always need a photo reference for them. Fortunately this whole drawing was referenced, so it's anatomically accurate. I'm not sure why the hand looks flat to you, except that it's perhaps just the pose - it is rather an odd angle."

Wow! I love how you made the wings thin and fragile looking, and yet, very natural, too. The twigs make them look beautiful. Great job! LLAEAL!
