From The Book of Three, first of Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles...

Taran is rescued from Achren's dungeon by a sharp-tongued, golden-haired girl named Eilonwy. Though reluctant at first to trust her, he will come to value her company before his adventure is over.

The long-needed re-do. Digital painting. Sorry to lose the old comments, but I'm trying to get all my Prydain stuff together and in chronological order.

wow, this is GOOD....wow...no, its AMAZING...like watching 2 kids in a video almost. Looking at it, I was almost expectant for them 2 continue what they were doing b4 I arrived!!! lol This work is amazing. I luv it..the expressions have a certain novelty about them, every time I see the expressions on real childrens faces, or even teens, like me, I have 2 stifle laughs b/c the cause 4 such reations bring laughs themselves!!

Taran's like "What's wrong with you?" I Love this picture! Eilonwy's saying "Don't you know what a bauble is?" Taran is a cute kid and Eilonwy is gorgeous!

Those eyes are wonderful, on both of them, though I like the girl's better. He looks like he thinks she's totally insane, and she's just plain happy. Wonderful.

Eilonwy! I'll say, your drawings make her look much more dignified than I was usually able to picture her in the books, but that's definitely a good thing. You can still see the mischieviousness and irrepressible goodness in her eyes. And the bauble...need I say anything about the bauble? No.

Great job. They both look very young here, but I forget what age they are in the first book.

Wonderful job on the drawing and coloring, althought, I kinda imagined her bauble a little bigger and more egg-shaped.
