For folks unfamiliar with the story (The Book of Three, first of the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander), this scene depicts Taran's first meeting with Gurgi, after the strange creature drops on him from a tree, with the probable intention of eating him. A daunting task, perhaps, but Gurgi is nothing if not enthusiastic.

Ah Gurgi! Such an interesting character, no? People will always wonder what the heck he is. He got more and more brave and useful as the story progressed. He kinda reminds me of a monkey except more furry. 10

Booyah! So good someone finally drew this, although I must say your Gurgi is a bit different from how I'd imagined him. Great picture, though, and you've really managed to capture the expressions!

*Munchims and crunchims in here somewhere!* (The Black Cauldron).....Gurgi is the cutest character in that movie! I have yet to read Chronicles of Prydain, but was introduced to the character in that video.

Never was quite sure how to picture Gurgi. I s'pose this will do. It feels like a unique image of him, yet fits in perfectly with his character. Well done. I also like the coloration.
