From The Black Cauldron, second in Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain...

During a council of war at Caer Dallben,  where the heroes unveil their plan to wrench the powerful cauldron away from Death-Lord Arawn, Taran Assistant Pig-Keeper and the haughty Prince Ellidyr exchange harsh words that nearly come to blows. Intervening with timely wisdom is Adaon son of Taliesin.

"Gently, friends. We hold each other's lives in our open hands, not in clenched fists."

Painter IX. Slightly rougher than is usual - I'm trying to get less plasticy and more painterly.

Love it! Ellidyr’s expression is perfect. Also, I’m amazed at your ability to do hands. And I definitely like the more painterly style.
