| 26 Nov 2002 | Tamara 'da dude' Davidson | Beautifull. Your sence of colour is fantastic. The way you combine them is great. Nice complimentry use. Tres tres beau | |
| 3 Dec 2002 | Claudia M. L. Smith | You must be very patient to do all your drawing with a mouse! It might be worth trying to get hold of a tracing tablet (ok, I know just how expensive they are... *sigh*) to make things easier. It's a nice idea to use Bryce for backgrounds (I just don't draw them coz I'm lazy ) Anyway, keep up the good work! | |
| 7 Dec 2002 | James M. Keegan | Hey Rachel! Thanks for your comment. Looking through your gallery, I have to add to the litany of people complimenting your sense of color. But, I have a few suggestions. For one thing, try working a little less on the computer and a little more on pencil and paper. Your landscapes look great, but try looking at the human body. Buy or borrow some anatomy books, practice your shading. The computer is a magnificent tool, but, remember, it is a TOOL. The better you are at the more primitive things, the more useful the sofisticated things like the computer will become. Also, when creating a scene, try putting your character in the mid ground and something like a tree, or a bush,or a rock in the foreground. It helps create a sense of environment. Perspective is tough, too, but give it a shot. It's a pain in the bum to learn, but once you get it, it adds so much (as if I'd know). I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future. Rachel C. Chapin replies: "Actually, I do a lot of charcoal and conte crayon drawings as well, I'm just too lazy to scan them in..." | |
| 12 Dec 2002 | Howard faria | Wow...awesome computer graphics! So dreamy! | |
| 16 Dec 2002 | Kristen <GoMrRoboto@hot...com> | Hmm...so I can't say either f-word, huh? I can say Donkey though. DONKEY DONKEY DONKEY DONKEY.
Ok enough of that. Good stuff here. Really. Only thing I can say is I have to agree with the guy down there who said you should try doing some stuff on paper then scanning it in. It will make it more lifelike, methinks. You can only do so much on a computer, in my opinion.
Keep up the good work, birthday b-t (know what that means, donchya?? you never liked that, did you? DID YOU???) ^.^; | |
| 9 Jan 2003 | Kayun Li | I third that opinion, actually. Your artwork from what I can see is very, very nice and colorful. Vibrant and intense. However, I think some art done with real-media would add a sense of softness and paleness to your otherwise "wham-bam-shazam" gallery. XD | |
| 19 Jan 2003 | Michele 'Mirahj' Teich | Hi Thanks for commenting on my gallery! Your work is lovely--And I mean that in the deep soulful way. All those colors are just so..lol, well, pretty and vibrant. It's such a nice change from all the dark moody pictures out there. I feel uplifted Would you like to join an art message board I made? I hope to gather people who love art and want to learn so we can all exchange techniques and such. If you would like to join it's at https://www.frii.com/~alyse/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi Keep drawing! ~Michele | |

| 28 Mar 2003 | Courtney 'WindSeeker ' Wilson | As said before, you have a great sense of color and good ideas. I do suggst that you pay more attention to lighting and how the sunlights color and other factors afect your characters. You can email me if you wish (I love getting emails_ and I can give you a few pointers and places where you can get tips for better computer... drawing... stuff. I use photoshop myself | |
