Ravenloft is a dark and frightening place- even those native to these dark, forsaken kingdoms of the damned are not immune to it's corrupting influance and to adventure here is to court death- or worse... Behold the lovely Arrianna. She is a noble, fully devoted paladin of Ravenloft's newly formed Order of the Sun. She also was born of partial Vistani descent and her mother fortold a dark fate for her just before her death as Arrianna was being born... It would seem that the mists of these lands are already reaching out to bring her closer to fullfilling her mother's dark prophecy. I hope as Arrianna says her morning prayers that she is asking for the strength to resist... I tried to give this one a misty morning in the prayer gardensort of a background with photoshop and added the lack of shading in her cloak that everyone likes to nitpick at... ^_~

I love her hair! ^_^ Suzanne 'Lady Valtaya' Kraft replies: "Thanks!! She's one of my favorite Ravenloft characters. She's not really evil, she's just serious and has golden eyes so she looks a little sinister. She's actually a Paladin from the Order of the Sun in Ravenloft, she has a dark fate awaiting her, but she has managed to avoid it so far!!"

I wanted to draw her saying her morning prayer, just before going out adventuring again!! getting ready for another long day of bashing evil, you know. Sadly, her fate will be a dark one, regardless of how hard she fights."

Thanks!!! I'm not sure it's that good, but I've always loved this character and i was happy that her picture turned out as well as it did."

18 Aug 2004	Charles A. Peterson	Loading... Very beautiful young Paladin you have here. Seriously, this is my favorite drawing in your gallery as a whole. A suggestion: You might want to try burnishing your color pencil work with a prismicolor white. It blends and smooths the color giving it a very painterly effect.
