On Crimson coloured tides
Prologue, A Song of the Sea
For those who mourn, she sang for the dead,
For those who’ve lost, she sang for a future,
And for those whose focus has led them astray,
She sang a song for the sea…
A crimson dusk that no one suspected,
A terrible loss that she would deny,
And her melancholy tune would wash up on the seabed,
As she sang a song to the sea…
For desperate longing she ran for her sanctuary,
Only to find there were demons within,
Cursed to sing for as long as she looked for him,
She sang her song through the sea…
Now that they fear her or simply don’t know,
A grimace to hide all her tears,
So as long as the sun dips beyond the horizon,
She’ll sing her song with the sea…
She’ll sing her song with the sea…
