Tag As FavoriteComment		Yay! My first attempt at watercolour... Added onto with conte and gouache. Its an illustration and story-book layout for a scene from the story of Sinbad the Sailor. Sinbad has escaped an island of doom by tying himself to the leg of a Roc. When it lands, he unties himself and then the Roc seizes a huge serpent and flies off. This is, obviously, the battle between the serpent and the roc.. The initial idea for the Roc's head can be found here.

This would most certainly be wonderful for a book layout. It's very elegant, and the color choices make it feel mysterious, and enchanting. This is also a great composition, great job! The best part of this piece I think, is your color choices. Wonderfully done.
