"Anabelle Rachmaninoff" by Ryan Hing

A fictional character from one of my stories, Anabelle is the second youngest of four sisters. This was created using Poser Pro on my iMac.

In this world, 'magic' is a simple matter of using one's own aura to alter the physical or mental state of those around them. The measure of skill is the potency, precision and extent of influence one is able to project their aura with.

Anabelle has chosen to practice manipulating the auras of living things. Sometimes this can be used for healing purposes, but she developed a curiosity for disfiguring animals and manipulating their minds from a young age. Now at the height of her power, Anabelle is able to influence many animals and even people with her powers. No to be confused with telepathy or telekinesis, Anabelle's power is rooted in the strength of her will, and her ability to over power that of others.

Anabelle studied under her mother (Angelina Rachmaninoff) until at the age of eight her mother could no longer stomach the experiments her daughter brought home to her. Anabelle's father (Ragnar Rachmaninoff) decided to send her away to continue her studies under the notorious witch doctor Marien Ngouabi. Anabelle's eyes have been permanently stained black from over exposure to the auras of living things and the horrific lessons she bore witness to under Marien's tutelage. 

Although she is feared by most people, Anabelle shares strong ties with her sisters, especially the youngest, Elenor who practices the manipulation of kinetic energy. Anabelle's disregard for life is often the subject of contention with her elder sisters who share higher military command within their father's armies. Although Anabelle shares the desire to strengthen the family empire, her questionable methods must be kept in check by her elder sisters.
