Tag As FavoriteComment		Silence of the sanctuary. Whispered prayers of the knight. Cold steel of the sword and the stone floor. And the fragile light of candles behind. The knight kneels down... What will the next day bring? Glory? Death? The battle awaits, there are just few hours left... 'Lord, give me strenght, and... mercy my soul...' Take a look at his eyes... Hidden in shadow, and yet they have got some expression (as I hope...). It was recently, that I learned to do so. That I found out, that something hidden may be very well visible.

Wow... this is probably one of my favorites in your gallery. Is this charcoal? The expression is wonderful, filled with anguish but also acceptance and trust. And I love the candles in the background, it looks like he's at the alter of some dark church. Beautiful image.
