| 12 Jul 2002 | Richard Walton | After looking at your pic I don't see anything wrong with them its got all the element you need you be an artist just keep practicing and try planing your figures out in stead of just going for a finish drawing straight away. | |
| 22 Aug 2002 | David 'Squeak' Myers | I have to kind of agree with what the last person said, or the part of it that my smallish brain allows me to recall in vague detail. What I'm getting at is this, basically, to draw really well (and by writing this i am by no means claiming to be fantastic at it either), you have to create pictures using principles of design, and, when it comes to any living creature, you have almost GOT to use an underlying structure. I am doing animation at the moment in Uni, and when I first began I did most drawings straight- I got an idea, sat down and drew until it was finished to my liking or disliking. My sense of structure was limited to starting with the eyes and sticking every thing else around them. After doing the course I've been doing for a while now, I have to say I've learnt alot. For every single drawing I do now, I think about the structure. If i'm drawing a human I begin by drawing a stick figure, then add the bodilly dimensions as abstract shapes, and finally stick in all the wierd little details. You may not believe me, but believe me when I say, that if you use this system, your drawings WILL improve. | |
| 29 Jan 2003 | Jenn(elopi!) Hanley | Good work, like your subjects, but I would begin to work on human/morphed human anatomy a little more..not that I'm any good! Just my advice,
Keep it up,

| 9 Mar 2003 | Hit man | All you need to do is practice...The key here is work on anatomy of humans or other animals. Muscles are the key and like the other people said you need to stard with just shapes first then turn it into your final don't just jump to your final keep up the drawing | |

| 18 Sep 2003 | Bianca Ansems | Some help: Look at other artist' work. Look what they do. Then try to draw it over. Not like laying a piece of transparent paper on their work, but just try drawing their things by the look of it. It is not a shame, in conterary: it will help a lot. Currently I am learning the most from a picture I am redrawing. And after you have drawn that picture, and it looks like it, you can draw more of these kind of pictures. And then, after a while, you will be able to make your own drawings with the technique you used in the copied drawings fresh in your mind.
Also the advice of David Squeak Myers is good. | |
