This was an assignment for a computer graphics class. The subject was to express our ideas about how technology is part of our lives, in 6 or more still images. Most of what I did for that project really belongs in the scifi section... Anyway. This is about the effect the printing press had on the world. The price and availability of books changed suddenly, putting knowledge within the reach of common people. People had totally new ways of looking at the same old world, and the Dark Ages ended. That's the magic of invention.

I think this is even better than the Forest Church one -- maybe because of the more unusual compostion and the interesting way it comes to a focus. How did you do it?The focus thing is because I examined the photos of leaves and branches to see where the camera was focusing, and aligned that spot underneath the book. So, the photo subtly fades out. It was a really obsessive thing to do, according to my CG professor, who asked why this took me so long to do. You're the first person who noticed on your own. Um, congradulations ~_~
