| 30 Jun 2003 | Sylvia | Loading...I like the chainmail, the weathering effects of the snow and cold, the sword, the belt is very good although I'd like to see more of a metallic look in the buckle to match the quality of the belt and from the knees up the picture is wonderful. If you don't mind my opinion, from the knees down, the quality of the legs and boots don't match the rest of the quality of this great picture. As for the pose, I like it and can visualize the motion you were going for. | |
| 30 Apr 2004 | Kim Adele Jackson | Loading...Wow!! Brilliant picture, I love the armour and chain mail, so detailed. But the design on it does look like the white tree of Gondor so I agree with Wictoria Nordgård, Its reminds me of Boromir too, in fact, I thought it was him untill I read the description. Anyways, great picture. Magnus Tamelander replies: "Yes the armour is very influenced by Faramir's; His armour was very beutiful. " | |

| 30 Apr 2004 | Elsa Kroese | Loading...verry moving scene.. love the nice soft colors.. only thing that I personally think is a bit of a shame, is that his face and his expression is a bit static... takes out lot of mood... other than that great picture.. I also love coloring pencil work digitally, gives a perfect mix between traditional media and digital media. Magnus Tamelander replies: "Thanks! I myself like his face, but I guess thats for each and one to decide ... " | |
| 1 May 2004 | Jonathan Mayer | Loading...Wow. What struck me first about this picture was the colors. Beautiful coloring, Magnus. I like the sun glow coming through the clouds and the subtle greens in the grass. Very nice. The chain mail I think is a bit... distracting. I don't think it follows with the style of the rest of the piece. Maybe if you just softened it a tiny bit, that would help. But, who am I to say? Great work, again. Keep it up! Best wishes, Jon Mayer Magnus Tamelander replies: "Thanks for the comment. I shall se what I can do. That chain is very special: a heirloom from the trolls under the mountain. I guess I tried to convey that when I made it. Perhaps I failed. " | |

| 9 Apr 2008 | Jaclyn Rose McGillivray | Loading...Nice chain mail. Reminds me of a Gondor Knight(had a mind block, couldn’t remember the correct phrase to call those guys) in The Lord of the Rings | |
