T. ´Tigris´ Gacobelli replies: "Thanx! I try not to use the style of others so that the style I developed stays in tact." | |
| 8 Jul 2004 | Blackmage | Loading...Love your kitty-like critters. Do you think you could do something with a three pawed cat? I have a grey tabby missing one paw, and can't help but notice three pawed cats are underrepresented in the art world... T. ´Tigris´ Gacobelli replies: "Sure! If you have a pic I could use as a reference, I'd love to draw it! Email me with details of what you want, and Extranet willing, I will post the drawing as soon as possible. " | |
| 10 Jul 2004 | Candace E. Bell | Loading...I was just looking over your comment on your most recent mod's choice out of curiosity. I just wanted to say that you shouldn’t worry what people say to you that don’t really agree with something in any of your pictures, Taking their words into consideration can always help to improve your skills as an artist, but just be true to yourself and do whatever inspires you. People can be very, very harsh here on Elfwood it seems and I think sometimes way to critical. We aren’t all that same level and we also don’t all care to learn the same thing or even create the same things, if that were the case then Eflwood would be a very boring site and originality would be non existent. Fortunately I haven’t had to many people attacking any of my mod’s, but it seems people do easily get offended by something so simple as "anatomy". Often times I think it just makes them feel good to belittle others by showing off their "professional eye" for art. Anyway you seem to have responded quite nicely to some of these comments, believe me I know hearing the same old thing over and over gets mundane, I don’t know why these people feel they need to comment in that way after seeing a bunch of people have told you already. Anyway keep doing what you want and don’t let the lamers get you down *wink* You have a great gallery, keep up the good work! And high five to you, its nice to see the artist replying to their comments for a change. T. ´Tigris´ Gacobelli replies: "Thanks for the pep-talk! lol It was my first Mods Choice and I didn't know how to deal with all the comments concerning anatomy. Some of them read my description, so they knew it was done just for fun, but they harped on the anatomy anyway. It seemed like they were using it as a forum rather than a comment area. I can't say that my anger didn't get the best of me in the end, but it was all the nice comments that made me feel better. People often forget that if they post critiques, they have to begin and end their post with something nice so that the person won't think you're bashing their art. I'm glad you didn't think my replies were harsh, I was afraid I'd get hate mail the next day LOL Thanks again! " | |

| 17 Aug 2004 | Calvin E. England | Loading...Lol, as far as Candace's comment goes, if you aren't going to critique, or you don't want criticism, you shouldn't be on Elfwood in the first place. Anyways, that said, I will add the mindless, "Hey your pictures are so great" comment and move on.^_^ No, but really, your pictures are very original and your style is unique. I love the way the green dragon picture looks. It may be the way the tail and neck curl that gives it a finished look. Good job on all of the artwork.^_^ | |
