SciFi and Fantasy Art Violist by Rowan Lee Hartsuiker

This drawing is different than my normal work. It's not only because I really, really like the instrument - But also because of the intersting poses of violists. Which are kind of hard to do right..

There's this beautiful girl I know, she plays violin - which is beautiful on itself.

I asked her to make a photo of her playing violin... - When I finished the drawing, I gave it her. Where she told me she was really happy with it, so I guess it's ok to put it here...

Some may ask thereself if they are looking at a guy or a women. Well, I'm also not really sure - haha. I tried to make a good looking women, but I failed horribly...

8 Feb 2006	Kevin H.	Loading... Wow, this is beautiful. I read it as a male figure. If you’re trying for female, make the hips wider in relation to the shoulders. Also, most women don’t have such muscular shoulders. However, I think it works just fine as a male, and is no less beautiful for it.

2 Aug 2007	Robyn Jones	Loading... I think this piece is absolutely amazing! The mood is beautiful. Also I really like you're drawing style, it is excellent and unique. On the subject of the male/female debate: The hips and shoulders would seem to say male, but I have seen woman with bodies that shape–so, no big deal. The face could easily be female with strong features (but there is nothing wrong with a strong woman). But all in all, I'd say that the person is wonderfully beautiful–whatever gender they might be.
