This beast is far more fearsome than the first I found, more true to written works. I do disagree however upon its age. The big horn of the beast continues to grow throughout it's life and if not kept honed down it will curve back over the head of the rathorns and ultimately will kill the animal by piercing the back of its skull. This is an old beast.

textures. Keep up the good work.

Excellent. Yah, the plates and horns grow as they get older, so... maybe this is an older one, or one that hasn't developed full body plate for some reason. I love the atmosphere of this piece. Very nice. Bravo!
| 5 Oct 2010 | Kismet | Loading...Wow, there is so little Kencyrath fanart out there, and the amount of actually good art is even smaller, but I really like your drawing. I tend to forget the majority of rathorns actually have black coats, not white like DeathsHead... And it’s always lovely to find another Hodgell fan!! ...If you have seen the cover of ’To Ride a Rathorn’, there is a picture of DeathsHead, and he is still rather young. I mean, we never really know if that is how she intended them to look, but your drawing is actually very close to what the cover has (of course, yours is younger, but the idea is there). | |
