Your bio is long but I read the whole thing because mine is long too, and I talk a lot. lol nothin' wrong with gettin' carried away! (like I'm doin' now!!) That's how I started - just a tip: anime is a great way to start, because there are an unholy amount of tutorials out there about how to draw manga and such. Now, about three years later, I'm drawing re- well at least trying to draw realistically. Can't wait for those lizard-man pics, keep me posted! | |
| 8 Sep 2003 | Glaw | Loading...What do you use to colour your pictures? I love your colouring technique. Thomas Lee Davidson replies: "I use PhotoImpact by Ulead Systems and a digital tablet. The digital tablet is helpful, but not necessary; I used to do it with a mouse. I also think some other high end graphics software would probably work as well. For best results I recommend using a "paintbrush" tool set to "hue and saturation" (it just applies hue and saturation instead of painting a solid color over the picture) and with a high transparency (I use 80% to 98% transparent). Using this, I first brush over everything with the correct color, then (sometimes) brush over the brightest areas with white for extra shininess." | |
