A picture based on the Lord of the Rings (©Tolkien), but with no particular scene in mind. I'm not too fond of the purple leaves in the background, but it's partly the paper's fault. It's really low quality and it gets fluffy whenever I try to absorb colour with my brush. From now on, I'll only use proper quality paper.

As I said, it is inspired by the Lord of the Rings. I wanted to catch that feeling of sadness at the elves' departure.

Not like the purple leave, are you kidding? It's PERFECT!!! Why?!! Little known fact to MOST people; but purple is the royal color. In the Ancient Days, purple dye came from a shellfish called the Murex. It was crushed emmiting a purplish ink. It was so expensive in the way it was caught,crushed, & produced that only the rich could afford it. Thus it become know as the royal color!! Hope this gives you a history lesson you won't soon forget ^____^
