Tag As FavoriteComment		A tribute to one of my favorite artists, Hieronymus Bosch, inspired by his "Hell" panel from "The Garden of Earthly Delights". The bird creature in the lower right has always been my favorite touch (probably that of many), and I wanted to render it in my own fashion while keeping as close as possible to the spirit and contents of the original, aside from my alterations, such as chains instead of pots on the feet, a more ornate chair, etc.

Prismacolor pencils on black presentation board.

To the mods: Classified as general, as the original is a classic which I've never seen censored in any way, and this piece contains the same content. I interpret the figures eaten by the bird-creature as souls, not living humans. Please let me know if it should be reclassified.

You know, when I first looked at this (without reading the description) my first thought was of Bosch. Very well done, I love your work.

This is awesome! You captured the style of Hieronymus Bosch and added your own flavour. The shading technique also makes it look kinda ancient... like a mythological illustration of a long forgotten cult.
