This is Arkadium. He's a bit of an enigma to my fantasy world as no one seems to know anything about him aside from the fact that he never seems to be far from one major conflict or another.

very cool character the only thing that looks weird is the upper part of the left arm and maybe the shins of the legs. overall i like the shading and the pose is good.2

PS: I love the Weapon!

:-) Thomas J. Gibbs replies: "Thank you! I wanted to make his sword look alien and unusual. I hope that shows. "

This is one of your drawings that I am most definitely in awe of. I think this one is a great example of just how much you've improved in your drawing style and ability over the years. Although he definitely is standing in a portrait-like pose, nothing about that pose looks too stiff or unnatural. I love the armour and the sword/weapon/blade/thing, whatever you'd like to call that one! 2 It does look VERY alien and ... otherworldly.. (lol), even for the fantasy world in which he exists (for as much as I know of it thus far). Jesslyn has only met him once so far, and I'm not sure exactly what she thinks of him... He was, afterall, indirectly responsible for the party having fallen prey to the evil old dude obsessed with trapping everything he can get his mind on in cubes...(he really does need to get a life). As I've said to you before, everything about his depiction in theis drawing eminates an air of mystery. Just by looking at it, I honestly can't bring myself to make any definite conclusions on what his outlook and disposition probably is, or his alignment... He is curiously intense in expression, and yet nothing about his intensity gives you any kind of clue about whats going on inside his mind... I think you have excelled yourself yet agaiin in your ability to portray exactly what emotion (or interesting lack thereof) you have in mind for your characters expressions. It is also easy to see that warfare comes almost first-nature to him, and you have done an awesome job portraying an incredible sense of strength and control balanced with finely tuned agility and cunning... 2 And once again, your drawing skills amaze me... You did an awesome job on this one, most definitely! 2

1 Thomas J. Gibbs replies: "Wow! Thank you! I really am glad you think I'm improving and drawing my characters with less stiffness. You very much summed up what I wanted his expression and stance to say so I guess I'm doing something right! I know you haven't seen much of him yet but he's got a huge roll in the lives of BOTH of your characters and it may take you a long time to figure out how. I will say no more and let the anticipation continue to grow! haHA! Thanx again for your wonderfully kind comment, Sweatheart! "

Well hello there Arkadium!
His stance is very powerful! His sword is pretty good too!
Nice job on this one, he's cool!

13 Thomas J. Gibbs replies: "Thank you! I think this drawing represents well my style of drawing. Not too much attention to detail that its no fun for me, but enough to make it interesting to look at. Thanx again!"

I really like his facial expression, and his pose he has going there. What a great character, and character design! And I am in love with his sword, now that is one mighty awesome sword. Great job, Arkadium is very nicely done.

1 Thomas J. Gibbs replies: "Many thanx! I'm glad you like him! 2"
