Scott R Lawrence replies: "You like the colors? They are a bit bright... but then you aren't commenting on the psychedelic pic a few down! "

Most people are happy with portrait style pics, but you have a nice mix Backgrounds are a little too cycadelic for my tastes but I like the fact that you've taken the effort to do them. Stuff to work on (IMHO so please feel free to ignore) Proportions need a little work. Best thing to do is get magazine clippings or books with interesting poses and use them for reference will help with consistancy and relative proportions as well as anything with funny perspective and forshortening Anyhoo I've taken a large block of space now so I scram...anyhoo Keep up the good work~! Scott R Lawrence replies: "Thanks for coming. So far the gallery features my older works primarily, though I just added one recent one ("Sitting"). Thank you for your encouragement and advice, it means a lot coming from an artist with your talent. I'll try to get some more of my recent sketches up, though I can't resist computer coloring them which always delays it, heh."

| 30 Aug 2005 | Erin M. Ramos | Loading...Howdy there! Long time since you've had a comment, eh? Well, you do have a lovely gallery here. Wonderful colors. You need some work on your proportions (who doesn't) but you've got some potential. 'Lanky Diane' shows you've got good understanding of how the body should look, but in 'The Elven: Soul Ambush Cover' the proportions of your characters are all kinds of wonky. Use the FARP tutorials elfwood offers if you don't have the opportunity to take an art class. They were a great help to me (and I need it). It's great work. Keep it up | |
