SciFi and Fantasy Art Fire From Above by Jeff lee johnson

Done as a concept for a book cover. I used Painter 11 and a Wacom and began and completed this over the course of the last week , in the middle of the work flow with a sick kid to attend to, so I have no idea how much time was spent, but it was a lot of fun to lay out and execute, and it lifted my son's spirits as a bonus!

I find it interesting to compare this to one of my first entries here titled "MountainKing", which at the time was the very best I could do. Effort over time....

Personally, though, I would be happy standing behind it, rather than be in that castle. Laughs nervously Good dragon. Please, please don’t turn around.
