i needed an alter ego at santharia(a very cool place for fantasy fans, artists, and scribes by the way. address www.santharia.com) and looked over my shoulder to find my muse looking back. she suggested herself, and gender issues aside i agreed, since one ignores one's muse at great peril! .i think this may be very cool in a children's book. hope she puts a smile on your face:)

a novel dreamlike quality to the light
the colour and images
crispy colours
and she has wonderful elfin features
good 3-D , though
somehow the lines
make her look like a dough doll or puppet

Hmm, do all female artists have male muses and males have female muses? I, for one, have a male muse and i've seen other female artists with male muses too (when they draw em)... I was just pondering the question. Heehee.
I very much enjoy this picture.

:-) Jeff lee johnson replies: "ha! i never thought about that before but i wonder if you are right? glad you like2"

Awww! It is so sad to think that in two-three years this little fawn will have to run for its life in the fall. But so the world turns in hunting season!!! but really, this is a darling picture, I love the exprestion of the woman, reminds me of how, oh darn, what ever the queen of the fairies name is in A Midsummurs night dream. Hippo or somthing like that.

:-) Jeff lee johnson replies: "hey caitlin, thanks for stopping by. i guess we all become part of the food chain at some point, eh?"

Ah, I can't tell you how much I love this! Yes, it would be completely perfect as a children's book illustration! The style and colors are wonderful

:-) Jeff lee johnson replies: "thanks very much monica!"

I've got to say, great picture beautiful colors and the fawn is drawn to perfection but something in the shadows of her face the the red-eyed bunny in the backgroud makes the pic seem a little sinister. If this would be for a childs book i'd thin the author would be Neil Gaiman

This would be awesome for a children's book. It's cute.

I love this! It's so childish and mischievous! The bunny looks like it's going togo for my throat though... must find my Holy Hand-Grenade of Antioch. And heed the warnings of Tim the Enchanter.

Monty-Python snarkiness aside, this is truly delightful.
