it has been a year since my first post on elfwood and i want all who have taken the time to comment on my works here how much i have enjoyed the very constructive feedback. i think i have been making steady progress, but i will leave that up to you all. one thing i am sure of is that i have listened closely to what has been said and tried to take it into account as i concieve of and create my projects. i hope the next year shows similar results, and that my new stuff will generate as much enthusiasm with my fellow elfies as the stuff already up has( to my delight). here is a straight-forward painting approach to a classic subject rendered with painter software on a wacom(my m.o.).hope you like, and thanks for stopping by!

Hmm... looks like the satyr is having an eye on you like... "they're beautiful..aren't they?! I know one of them... I could call on her but i Don't want to" (meaning he doesn't know any of them actually)

Hello ladies! The satyr looks peaceful now, but just try anything with those nymphs!

I'm really impressed with the nymph jumping into the water on the left side. She is especially well done. This whole piece is magnificent! I like the little rainbow!

.... You have put such wonderful emotion into this picture. No wonder it's on the feel tour.

Dude
nymphs dont run around naked
they wear clothes...And they dont run around

:-) Jeff lee johnson replies: "so nymphs don't run around? or bathe?"

BEAUTIFUL
however, nymphs are more suttle and attach to what they belong to, like tree nymphs stay in there tree...water nymphs stay in the water, etc.

FINALLY! nudity without pervertedness! This is what I love about your work. You bring across a certain mood without resorting to the usual big-busted, scantily-clad warrior woman with a huge laser gun. Thaaaaank you!
Now: the nymphs look very happy and innocent and ... well, nymphlike. I agree, though, that the satyr seems to be acting out of character.. lol

ooooooh pretty... it reminds me of the work of Maxfield Parrish for some reason. Definitely cool! Very well done!
