| 19 May 2002 | Kris Richard Lachowski | Loading...This is the perfect example of why I like your work. You use your talent in harmony with your medium to reveal interesting sculptures that nature has already hidden in the wood. (does that make sense? If it just sounds like a bunch of looney ramblings it is probably because I'm too busy being in awe to write anything coherent) Theodore Roy Hellqvist replies: "Yeah, that's kind of how it feels. At least I see one set of possibilities, and am usually able to tease out something that most others can relate to. On raw material, other people often see very different things in the same piece. In my experience, everybody can do this as long as they don't let their egos get in the way. Thanks for the comment --Ted" | |

Theodore Roy Hellqvist replies: "Thank you! Yes it did take quite a while to finish this, mot so much carving though, as just looking at the thing and deciding where to go with it. Got to admit I'm pretty happy with the finished product. Ted"

You could do things like: Stick it in your sleave, and walk up to somebody that was really busy and say; "I just wondered if you'd like a hand with that." or you could stand up in front of a crowd and.... or ... well ... Yeah... "wicked""
| 3 Sep 2002 | Shannon *Devil Girl* Taylor | Loading...Wow! This is very good! Lol i see you also have muses whom take total control over your work for you ^-^ i like this one and the table cloth and the nail polish (i have to agree with the others) is a lovely touch ^-^ Theodore Roy Hellqvist replies: "Thanks. Yes sometimes it's sort of like reading a novel--Can't wait to get finished to see where it ends up.-- The nail polish seems to be necessary to define the fingers. Without it everything looked screwed up. Ted" | |
| 2 May 2003 | Chantal 'Harliquin' Boily | Loading...Heya Ted. Long time no see, hey? A little too long, methinks. This piece is lovely, but I fear it will be appearing in a few nightmares before my brain is done with it. -Chantal Theodore Roy Hellqvist replies: "Yes, it's nice to see you back. Yeah, this thing sort of makes me wonder what lurkes in some of the deeper nooks and crannies of my mind that reacts to produce stuff like this. T" | |
