Theodore is a 58 year old father of two teens, and carves in whatever spare time they leave him.
 
 
 
I'm a 58-year-old father of two awesome teens. I live in southeastern B.C.(canada)where I work For the Ski resort in Fernie operating water and sewage treatment facilities. For fun I like hiking, camping skiing, snowboarding and carving. About carving: I like to think these characters are mine, but in fact, they seem to develop themselves while I just operate the tools. The process of their creation continues to astound and puzzle me. I can't really pin down what part I play, what happens spontaneously, and what might be due to the influence of some other force. -------Photo manipulations: I've recently been playing with Photoshop Express, which I acquired in order to make better representations of some of my carvings. The photo manipulations I've posted are done for fun, but also to learn these tools. They are crude and unsubtle for that reason. Please make constructive comments as I can use all the help I can get. But for now, have a look at what's here and tell me what you think. Hopefully I’ll be able to post again soon. Love the bio pic its great and your stuff well...you make me terrible jealous...carving has always been a secret guilty pleasure of mine I just have never been able to truly master it unless it was in a bar of soap...( did a face on one when I was younger...it scared the crap out of my mom when she went to use it the next day )and even then...well I could never come any where near the masterpieces you have here...*sigh*

I think "God" blessed you with a wonderful talent of wood carving. Your creations are diffently impressive. I don't think you have a twisted mind. The carvings are unique mysterious and takes your breath away. I would like also to see happier sculptures. You are diffently very talented to bring wood to life. Jackie

There are sometimes happier pieces, I see the Goulsens as a fairly happy family, for instance, but this activity as well, though the toutured shapwe that are in this material sort of seems to bring out the darker side of my subconcious. "who knows what evil lurks in the minds of men.........the shadow knows........" But actually i I don't feel any evil, just a kind of a dark sense of humour. Ted"
