SciFi and Fantasy Art 08.Tarasque by Polydoros Themis


	This picture is purely fictional, this battle never really happened (I think it’s almost impossible to have 14 high level characters in the same party), but I really wanted to draw a tarasque. The difficult part wasn’t drawing the tarasque or the earth elemental but the griphon and all the other characters that were very small and very hard to add detail to.

4 Mar 2003	Bandit108	Loading... Oi, I hate to mock others, but sometimes the situation calls for it desperately. First of all, you did NOT run into a "few", because there is only one Tarrasque (which is spelled with two "r"s). Secondly, it looks pretty darn good, seeing as how the AD&D drawing was from the side. I may be classifing myself as a geek for knowing this, but I'll come to the aid of artists against clueless wankers any day. Great pic by the way.

And as that nice chap said about about clueless wankers, Aye mate, good work calling someone else stupid, but all the rules in world of DnD are still just guidelines, if a DM wants to have a billion Tarrasques they can, bite me
1 Jun 2006	Scifimeg	Loading... Awesome Tarrasque! I agree with 'Nomad' to the extent that the DM can do pretty much whatever he wants. However, if the DM put a billion Tarrasques in, he wouldn't be doing his job very well. A DM's job is NOT to kill the characters, and to give the players a good time. And, you can run into a few over several campaigns if you are following the rules to the letter. Anyway, awesome Tarrasque. And even if you don't have fourteen high level chars in a party, I would recruit NPCs before going after one. You can't exactly 'walk into' a tarrasque : )
