This took soooooo long it wasn't funny. Probably because I messed up a numerous number of times on sticking down too many gum wrappers. (This is made out of gum wrappers by the way) Oh well, I'm happy with it :)

If you find the silver so difficult to remove from the paper, just use a lighter! I do it all the time just for the fun of it. You light one end of the paper and hold it straight up and down... Perpendicular to the ground. When the flames get too close to your hand you can simply hold it at an angle from the other end, the silver cools very quickly. Be carefull though, too much heat and the silver becomes very brittle and honestly it might not stick at all. You'de have to use it like gold leaf and put down a light adhiesive and rub away the excess. You must also take care not to change teh color of the silver as it will turn black with constant direct flame.

Hey now this is awesome, too, though I prefer the fairy, I love dragons more! This is a great show of marvelous talent you possess. It makes me jealous...

Fairy dragon - Yay! He's cute. And about the orb, does it matter what it is? Dragons have treasures and that is probably just part of it... I like it!

This is absolutely wicked. I love your technique (such a great effect), but I know I won't be using it anytime soon. Peeling the silver off is hard enough-- do you use some sort of razor? Anyway, I hope to see another one like this... When you're full on patience, of course. ^_^

Yes...I hear you when you say it takes too long...Ive been working on refinishing my bass guitar with gum wrappers, and its taken me almost two years now

An easier way to achieve this technique might be to just put down glue first and use silver leaf... or keep using the silver part of gum wrappers but applying it to a pattern already sticky with glue would make it easier to put it only where you want it.
