Wyverns are the cousins of dragons, they only have two legs {hind}. they are not as smart as dragons but are smarter than "animals" the are of the ethereal plane of existence, transformed to the physical plane by a mad Warlock. If you need to know more I can tell you. P.S. thanks for the comment. Thomas Niekel replies: "Thanks for clearing that up. So, do you think I should rename the other picture now, since he has 4 legs? Also, are there more types of dragon-like creatures other than wyverns and dragons? And, where did you get all this info?ps. no problem"
| 14 Feb 2004 | Marty | Loading...Actualy there are wyrms which i belive are wingless legless dragon-like creatures. And if you want to draw weverns. There features are mostly bird-like i often draw them with fethers on the ings. And beak like faces. Because of the hind-legs and fore-wings, they are usualy depicted in bird-like stances. Wyrms are sometimes drawn as wing less or legg less or both. But because of the name, sounding like worm, i draw them with tiny vestigial legs, and no wings. As far as info, just use the internet, or your imagination. And all dragon-like animals nave "animal intelighence" because they (like humans) are all animals. Its all relative. | |

| 26 Feb 2004 | Meaghan Beaton | Loading...I'm going to be semi-useful and point out what I think is wrong with his back legs. They come out too far from his body.Well...let me rephrase that,if they were out that far from his body, they'd look smaller because the muscles wouldn't be as bunched. Anyways,You pulled off this pose and angle very well.Like a past commenter said,a front veiw like this is a hard thing. Also great detail and wonderful shading once again. | |
| 11 May 2004 | Donna Quinn | Loading...Another awesome pic. I'm very impressed!
I kinda agree with the above person- but I think you needed to define the end of it's ribcage/belly a bit more. I think the hindlegs sort of blend into the anterior part of the trunk- but apart from that, it's got really great comic appeal and the sun/ planet thing is a cool touch.
| 19 Jun 2004 | Hannah R. Filmore | Loading...hmm... I disagree with the person above the person above and partially with the person above. I think the problem with the legs is that they look too far forwards (if it wasn't for the slight overlap of the wings they'd look further forwards than the wings) and I think... that if you added some more shadow from the wings to them it might help. I partially agree with the person above cos she was saying that the ribcage isn't quite right, which goes hand in hand with what I've just said. However if you're anything like me you won't do anything about it nice pic tho realistic wings and a dragon head I wish I could draw, lol. | |
