Tag As FavoriteComment		Colored Pencil on black matboard. This montage was inspired by Mercedes Lackey's book 'The River's Gift' One of the main characters is a Kelpie, a mythical horse of Celtic lore, who lures people onto its back and then runs down into the water with them to drown them, who can shape shift into a man. (That was a really run-on sentance.) Near the end of the story he and the other main character turn into swans to escape a situation. That is represented by the celtic knots in the shape of birds in the corners.

very nice and mysterious. I like the way his head morphes into a kelpie. It is done differently somehow than most such things, and it looks cool. I'm not to sure about the knots, they seem a little square compared to the rest of the picture. The picture needs something in those corners, though, so maybe they're fine after all.

:-) Tiffanie L. Gray replies: "Thank you! Its the first piece I've done in a while, been doing more writing than drawing. I wanted the squareness of the knots to contrast with the flowing of the picture. But that may not work for everyone."
