Well, the background is good!

It's sometimes so easy to get carried away by the whole thing, then to forget something small, as a hand. So, you're excused. 2

1 Tiffany M. Myers replies: "hehe yay i'm excused from my unfinished hand !thanks for the comments too "

Hey, I like the background since I do absolutely none in my drawings, something that I should fix sometime. ^^

I think that for a beginning BG, it's good as it goes. You've got the detail on trees, plants, and even the girl in the foreground down pretty well.

1 Tiffany M. Myers replies: "  Thanks.. for this picture I got fustrated and bored with the background really fast so i put it way for like 3 months and found it one day and I finished it. I like the background only cause its like one of the only ones I've done ^_^"

You forgot the hand??? lol... You have to take some time to check the drawing before finishing it, hihihi. Personnaly I take too much time. When drawing I often take breaks, 10 minutes or so, and just look and my drawing (while listening to music.) It helps me see what I like, and what I don't like about it so I can adjust it. Ok, let's get back to your drawing. Hum?!? The elven girl is really nice, well done and with a lot of details. I like the little details like the bracelet on her ankle, the little mushrooms near the tree... Background aren't always easy to do, and you did well. That little river in the bottom right corner looks unfinished. One of the problem is the character is well defined, but the background is pale and shy in some part. But that's normal, we all start with only character than when we're starting to add background, it takes a time to devellop the confidence that we need. If you check my gallery it's the same thing, nearly no backgrounds, but I'm currently adding them in my work.

1 Tiffany M. Myers replies: "haha thanks.. yea... i usually take breaks too.. but i was having a bit of a problem with her hand.. so i left it for last.. and i forgot about it ^_^ yea i never really liked the river.. i actually thought about replacing it with some kinda statue or well.. but i didn't feel like it hehe... Don't mind her, she's 'armless. Sorry, couldn't help myself... I think I prefer pictures that are simpler; background is overrated as it distracts from what the artist is trying to show. That said, this is very well drawn and very detailed. Nice one.

There is just SOMETHING about your style of drawing that I ADORE and which I could do!!!!!!!! It's looks so easy, but there's so much little detail... it blows my mind...

I've NEVER been able to do a good background... and yours is great!!! the hand is excusable, haha... i hope you fix it sometime though, or she'll never be able to play patty cake again!! haha.

I LOVE THIS!
