I once had this vision... some part of me, jumped into a mountain lake, and as he(?) broke the surface... a steel tail burst out (as well as spikes and fragments), blood came, mixed up with oil (hence it doesn't dissolve much in water) and the tail was spine-like, with the spineous processes broad and flat so that they formed fins. Not sure I portrayed that as well as I wanted, yet, odd things happened drawing it. Below the surface turned out to be another world, of both urban sci-fi, and solid light, alabaster. This city is dualistic. The rest conveys... the machine inside me... wanting out. A cyborg feeling pain - that it was not programmed to handle.

visioned in April '04, drawn after haunting me a few weeks. Uploaded to Elfwood August 4th. Larger version here. It's... one of my favourites, ever. People have been scared to comment *shrugs*

Actually this is EXCELLENT and it shows a great imagination on your part. I love the way you h ave it looking as if the metal objects are actually piercing the flesh from within. The water also looks real. This is just an all around great work of art!! ^_^

Technically it's a superb piece of work. The anatomy is wonderful, making the tail seem almost natural (very impressive as metal and organic matter combined as one creature hardly ever look convincing). The idea behind it is very intriguing, one of those ideas that just had to be expressed. Very well done with this picture.

I’m finding this one somewhat inspirational myself. Killer imagery, here.

It looks rather painful... Well done though, especially the metallic tail vertebraes (however you spell that). I do think the neck/head looks a little off. Maybe a little too small, but mostly it’s the position of the neck...
