Yeah! But... Look!
What's that? Is it a bird? Is it a plane?
No, it's... It's... colour!!! *gasp*
And now together everyone: 'Halleluja!' ! I finally managed to make a coloured pic. Well, it's more sort of a sketch but who cares?
This is actually part of my self-therapy programm 'How to loose my fear of the dangerous colours' (I started this programm about 3 hours ago). About this one: I woke up at 2am and decided to... just try it.
It took me 2 minutes to sketch him and about 6 or 7 to colour. That makes...8 minutes all in all (hope that's right. It's too late for even this simple sort of sums).
I didn't use any references, so he doesn't look very 'real' -and I don't think I'm ready for colouring a realistic pic already.
Anyway, I think he's kinda cute. What do you think?

The simple strokes add to the wholeness of the sketch, and the highlighting and soft shades really do give an impression of the sort of hazy, warm impressions one would expect from a foal. I'm not sure if that's what you intended, in 8 minutes at two in the morning, but nonetheless it's a great piece and I love it. Well done. Maren I. May Zielke replies: "I don't know about my intentions really. but it was supposed to look "warm". i mean, i chose my colours to reach that goal. great you like it!"
