| 11 Feb 2004 | Your fan | Loading...Did you take the same picture of the sword and then break it? Or did you redo the whole thing, broken? Yes i recognize it and i think all your drawings are cool, and i really like it when an artist takes a drawing and like, fastforwards the time on it. Wow, that didn't even make sense to me! Hehe, oh well, keep on working hard, you cool artist you. | |

| 8 Apr 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...This sword is obvisily not Anduril or flame of the west unless it is very poorly done. It is obvisly not glamdring or any other Elvish blade that I recognize. Id have to say the hilt most resembles the sword of either Denathor or that of the son of Elendil in the Fellowship. The blade resembles Glamdring to some extent and the runes seam to be taken from Anduril. Whatever sword it is if it is from LOTR I am very very disappointed with the rendering as I am a very big LOTR fan and would hate to see any sword in that series butchered so badly as you have. | |
| 30 Apr 2004 | Frankie Ortiz | Loading...*starts giggling at the wide variety of comments on this pic* My goodness. ^_^;;
I'm not even going to try to be intelligent, so I'll just be talking here as someone who enjoys art.
THE GOLD! *bounces excitedly* Oh, it stands out so marvelously! And the way it's tilted immediately drew my eyes up past the hilt to the beautiful shine on the broken blade. I like the contrast between the background scroll and the runic on the blade itself - the "soft" cradling the "sharp." I also like how the shadow below the broken tip is much smaller than that of the other piece - that small detail gave the impression of thickness and size to the whole sword. Obviously, the blade alone would rest closer to the stone than the handguard. Nicely done!
Here's my other two cents American. I think that this piece might have been better (in my opinion!!) if the axis had been tilted rather than as a straight-down view. The sword itself would have been much more striking from an angle as if we are looking down at it . . . from where we would be standing instead of from the ceiling right above it. ^_^;; Does that make sense? But if you had done that, the details at the base of the blade wouldn't be near so lovely to look at. Take that as you will!
*one more, then I gotta get back to work*

| 9 Aug 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...The font is a dead give away. Although I hardly think it had a gold handle. Youd be better with 3dsmax for this than photoshop. Would improve on the Shadowing and pearlessence. It never really said whether it was just broken in half, or shattered. Cheers | |
