I really like the tree design around the base- and, in fact, the entire rest of your gallery. Has no one ever told you that you are possibly too creative for your own good? | |

| 24 Jun 2004 | Frankie Ortiz | Loading...Hiya, Tim! ^_^ I have a few moments, and I was thinking of you. Or, at least, your artwork. LOL.
As always, the first thing that came to mind when I clicked on this pic was "Beautiful." The base and stand of the basin is so elegantly drawn, as well as the grass in the background. It makes me think of those little carvings that have a ball inside, carved from a single piece of wood - have you seen those or do I not know what I'm talking about again? heehee. The metal coloring in the bowl is also wonderfully done.
I am a little disturbed at the perspective, though. The top of the basin is dead on looking me in the face, yet the base is bent so that I can see most of it from the top. Is the basin that tall? Somehow it doesn't strike me as so. Also, the small vase sitting on the stand isn't in proper perspective at all! Yeck.
So, I can't decide if this is one of your works that I will come back to drool over. LOL Probably not, unless it's just to trace the entwining branches again, or to feel soothed by that lovely blue.
^_^ moving on . . . LoK | |
