Hello, hello, happy Monday. ^_^;;

As always, very striking work. The green just sort of jumps off the screen . . . it's quite beautiful. At any rate, I agree with what somebody else said: you did a marvelous job of actually making the metal give off the glow. I have this problem with inanimate objects, and your hand at weapons and such continues to amaze me - enough that I can imagine most of these to be drawings of something real! LOL Does that make sense?

I notice the key from that first collage is here as well . . . but you know, I didn't like it as much in this drawing as a whole. The dagger is so predominantly green, and the map is too because of the blade, but the key has red and gold in it. Why? I think it would look a lot better if it were tinged with more of the glow's shade, looking closer to black and white below the green. It's just such a strong color.

At any rate! You say it's an old pic, but I really like it too! ^_^

"Oh, and the runes on the left hand side say *ehem* "stand by the gray stone, when the thrush(bird) knocks, and the last light of the setting sun will shine upon the key whole", just if anyone wanted to know"

No they don't. They say "Five feet high the door and three may walk abreast." Your 'translation is of the runes in the middle' 12

Great pic, by the way. Is the shining sword your interpretation of Sting?

actually the stuff behind the key says: "stand by the grey stone when the thrush knocks AND the setting sun WITH THE LAST LIGHT OF DURIN'S DAY will shine upon the key-hole"

I like the Hobbit!
