Keep up the good work! -Tom Nemes Fantasy-Emporium.Com Timo Lindgren Westre replies: "I actually drew this in about two hours, because I were drawing for a tattoo shop. They needed three and I just had two, so this was the last, and kind of hasty one... turned out well enough though )" | |

| 28 May 2002 | Black Magic | Loading...How do you get your shading and rubbing so perfect? My drawings always turn out sharp and scratchy. Timo Lindgren Westre replies: "Well, guess I can tell you that. When I apply the shading, I carefully lay a little pressure on the pencil until I have the "skincolor", then I gradually harden the pressure to add the shades and shadows (I guess this is what everyone usually do). And here's the little "secret": When you're done with the drawing, you take your finger (make shure it's dry) and carefully "smudge" the shadings together, don't push too hard (you can actually buy a pencil that's made all out of cardboard that does the same trick, but I haven't bothered...). Now, if you have done it correctly, the shading on the drawing will look smooth and your finger will be totally black (so don't touch the drawing anywhere else). Hope this helps!" | |

| 30 Oct 2004 | Johanna 'Dragon' Jonsson | Loading...No one can have it, 'cause it's MINE!!!....No, just kidding, even though I'd like to be able to draw like this, but I'm working on it. I see you are using the same technique when it comes to shading as I do. My parents are going ballistic on me for it, 'cause there are little finger prints everywhere. Anyway, really great work. Timo Lindgren Westre replies: "Hehe, I usually smudge my fingerprints all over my drawings, and then I swear alot and remove it in photoshop after scanning the images... *wistle wistle wistle*" | |
