| 9 Aug 2006 | Roadkill005 | Loading...Btw if your looking for another good fantasy series, read the Sara Douglass's Wayfarer's Redemption series. (also I'd love to see any artwork from that series drawn by you) Christine Martino replies: "That's so funny you said that, I was looking at that book in the bookstore the other day! Maybe I'll pick it up, now!" | |
| 9 Aug 2006 | Roadkill005 | Loading... love your taste in both books and characters. Achmed is awesome, lol, and I love your depictions of him. Let's just leave it at "your art is jaw dropping as is your taste" Christine Martino replies: "Hehee, thanks! I love the Symphony of Ages series!" | |
| 3 Sep 2006 | Jadera | Loading...THE ASSASSIN KING COMES OUT DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. About time too! *humphs* I'm re reading the series for the umpteenth time again and I still get little warm fuzzies inside. ^^ heehee! I love these books and your pictures are wonderful! They give me more fuzzies! Good job! Christine Martino replies: "REALLY? Last I heard it was Jan. 2007. This date's even better!!!! WOOOOOOT!!!!" | |
| 30 Oct 2006 | Admirer, bordering on stalker, of Achmed | Loading...I just have to finally post a comment since I've been looking at these amazing images of Achmed without saying a word (mainly because my jaw is on the floor along with a puddle of drool). Achmed is my all-time favorite character, I have even used him in a college essay, and I get all happy when I see your representation of him. It's pretty much dead one with what I have in my mind of him. Total awesomeness on your part for being able to put him on paper!!! Keep up the outstanding work 'cause I know I'll keep checking in to gaze at Achmed. ^.^ | |
| 11 Dec 2006 | NightAria | Loading...I love all of your work! You do a good job at capturing Achmed, and I don't think that is easy to do seeing as his character is so complex. I get the feeling that Ms. Haydon has a lot about him that we don't know yet. Achmed and Rhapsody are meant to be. Ashe may be in her life now, but Achmed will always be there, waiting for Rhaps to turn to him. | |
| 16 Aug 2007 | Anonymous | Loading...Hi Christine - I just put a few comments on your work "plans of power" before i saw all of your other lovely work - i really do appreciate your treatment of Achmed, just not so much in that piece, but you do seem to adore him as much as i do. Thanks for giving Elfwood your view of Haydon's world, as so few people do...you're wonderful! | |
| 1 Jul 2008 | Christa Joanne Bigelow | Loading...Your artwork is amazing you captured the characters so perfectly each time i saw your art my jaw literally dropped! Achmed is one of my favorite characters in the books and i love how you have captured every essence of him and put it in your art! Keep up the good work!!! | |
| 20 Nov 2009 | Mary Ann Zachar | Loading...nice art, I can’t believe no one has ever drawn anything from the symphony of ages before those are good books. I liked the coin one best. | |
| 11 Jul 2010 | Heather M Alley Sellers | Loading...everytime I view your art i want to read the books again Christine Martino replies: "You know something? I think that’s the best compliment I’ve gotten for my Symphony of Ages artwork. Not that I don’t enjoy compliments on my technique or skill, but to hear that my artwork (albeit, very, very OLD art!) triggered a sense of nostalgia and memory for the books gives me a nice little warm feeling inside, hahaha. I’m glad my work reminds you of good times reading the series! " | |
| 21 Aug 2010 | Melissa marie canaway | Loading...I love your art, I truly do...however, I’ve noticed you never do pictures of Jo. I think that’s rather sad because even though she’s dead, she was a big part of the story, and far too often forgotten.
