| 18 Dec 2007 | K Dawson | Hi, I think your artwork is absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!! Do you do commissions/requests. What kind of price would you want for one? Could you please email me and let me know, pretty pretty please. Thankyou ever so much. It's been a very long time since i've seen art this detailed, it's incredible. Tiziano Baracchi replies: "Such enthusiasm is extremely flattering, thank you!I don't do requests (really haven't the time) but I'm certainly open to commissions, will e-mail you shortly (be warned, though, I live in euro-land)." | |
| 18 Dec 2007 | Koen Van Huynegem | Who do you use to pose? If it is your wife or gf, then you are a hell of a lucky guy. I mean your 'girls' are looking so good!! Great pieces in this gallery! Are you dating Angelina Jolie perhaps? Do you make magic the gathering as well? Tiziano Baracchi replies: "LOL, if I used my wife for my girls I'd either have an harem or be married to a shape-shifter (now, *that* would be cool)...In truth most of the girls are 'frankenbeauties','puzzles' of various elements I then transform in something else interely.Magic the Gathering is still something I aspire to, hopefully I'll get there, someday. | 3 Feb 2008 | Jerry Daniel Jansson | Thank you
Yes now I understand It sounds reasonable
Thanks again Tiziano Baracchi replies: "Sorry for the confusion, Jerry! My fault for trying to compress my answer (I was afraid I’d bore you to death), I meant ’a style recognizable as different from those of any of the human cultures’, if I recall (should check on my ’art of’ books) the artists working on the movie looked to natural shapes (leaves and so on) for elvish inspiration. | 9 Feb 2008 | Maarteng | Hi Tiziano, Well done pics, I enjoyed them a lot. I liked the fact that in some pics the woman are not standard way to beautiful women which hardly exist but realistic looking ones. In some way or another this can add to the impact a picture is making on the viewer. I never seriously tried acrylics and computer. Maybe I am just way to impatient for that and stick to my pencils. Your mother does she use coloured pencils, or also paint? I was just wondering. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming, Tiziano Baracchi replies: "Thank you, Maarten. I’m glad you find my characters both believable and appealing. My mother worked mostly with acrylics until last year, now she uses them as a base in combination with water-soluble oils, those are the best, she says, for traditional painting (and I agree, as well). | 10 Mar 2008 | Francesca Resta | Hi, I’m italian but I think it’s more polite for me to write in english here... I’ve seen your picture in a ballistic’s "exotique" if I’m not wrong, and now I found you again in the ImagineFX I’ve just received...!! wow, many compliments!! it’s so great to see such a talented italian artist... your paintings are astonishingly beautiful: your characters are really believable and detailed but not overdone, love your ideas and your composition... digital painting is my hobby, I’ve started about an year ago, and if someday I’ll manage to be half good as you, I would be delighted!! your gallery is a great inspiration! thank you! Tiziano Baracchi replies: "Ciao, Francesca! Guilty as charged, Elven Scout was on the last Exotique. Thank you so much for your lovely words. As a relative newcomer to the digital field (I’ve worked for years in acrylics, but started digital about two years ago) I feel I’ve a lot to learn, but can also say that hard work always pays off, the fundamental principles are always the same, whatever medium one is trying to master. I’m really flattered that you find my works inspirational, this is the greatest compliment one could be paid by a fellow artist.
Do you have any on-line gallery?
Ciao!" | |
| 12 Mar 2008 | Francesca Resta | Thank you so much for your reply! oh, I’m doing the opposite way: after discovering the painting with the digital medium, I’ve started to take some traditional oils lessons! And, by my little experience, I agree with you: everything I learnt in digital painting is helping me a lot with oils too... I just have to learn how to make the brush to paint where I want it to!! I always loved drawing, in my teenage I started an artistic high school but I was unlucky with teachers who discoraged me a lot and I changed very soon for a scientific path... now I’m enjoying my return to arts a lot, both digitally and traditionally. I opened an account here too, so it will be easier for me to find you, but it needs some time for my pictures to get published... but you can find some here: http:niji.carbonmade.com Your painting are really inspirational to me, they are so full of different emotions, and I love your backgrounds and compositions... all things my paintings lack, so I really learn a lot looking to your art. | |
