SciFi and Fantasy Art Eon: the Fourth Chamber by Tiziano Baracchi

Inspired by 'Eon' a novel by Greg Bear.

Actually mr. Bear gave permission for 'Eon' to be used as topic for the XX CG Society Challenge (the very first in which I entered). Here we see two of the main characters looking at the landscape of the fourth chamber.

In the book an asteroid is discovered, inside there are a series of chambers (or habitats) were gravity is mantained by the asteroid's rotation on its horizontal axis, so thar all lanscape elements are spread on the wholòe inner surface of the chamber.

I tried to transmit the feeling of vertigo I had when I first read the description.

7 May 2008	David Michael	Loading... Fascinating idea. It’s a little hard to tell what exactly is the deal with the world outside, though I can see it curving up to the edges of the window. Kinda trippy, in a cool way. The girl, being much closer than the guy, is more detailed and has more personality. Very unique, yet recognizable look to her, very believable. I like it.

21 May 2009	Colin	Loading... Absolutely amazing. You definitely achieved vertigo with this one. I am already in process of hunting down a copy of Eon, even 20 seconds after I’ve heard of it.
