| 9 Mar 2000 | | nice work thorsten, and thanks for the tip in my gallery on the egit author =) | |
| 24 Apr 2000 | Angel Darq | First off, Thorsten, you have made no mistakes. You have a desire to draw to your best ability, and that alone, is more than enough to make it so. You have a good control of pencil and shading, and though you do have to work a bit more on proportions, you will not have trouble figuring that out. Do not make the mistake I did of working with the H class pencils. They are hard to work with, but if you really want to know the secret, here it is: H class pencils are not used for "blending" like with B class pencils. Use H class to put fine detail directly, and put areas over areas of pencil, without blending. That way, you get darker zones of color, while maintaining the detail given by H class pencils. If you use board to draw on, a Mexican brand called "Illustracion" is good, since it is cotton based, and takes a lot of punishment. But trust me, unless you want to do things the hard way, do not use these techniques. You are doing things well and beautifully. I congratulate you. | |
| 13 May 2000 | Carine M. Y. Lai | You have a great imagination - your dragon claw/face really shows how your ideas just flow. I'd gladly swap some of my drawing ability for some of your imagination! | |

| 23 Dec 2000 | Rhiannon Mims | I do love your dragons, and as above, your command of pencil is a great start. Have you ever tried to ink your works afterward? I love the form and poses you've given your reptilian works, and the Easter Egg one is tooo cuuute! (Oh yeah, thanks for my comments. My suggestion, and how I got to drawing faces, was using magazines!) Merry Christmas! | |

Hey, that picture with the dragon egg is really funny! The colored version looks pretty good. And you seem to improve on the human characters, your newest pic (Chess) shows that! | |
