Tamara Turner replies: "I am influenced by everything that surrounds me! Although I don't think this particular piece was influenced by the east! Perhaps subconciously! Thank you for the compliments, I strive for honest realistic poses when I do my figures. It is swell that you noticed! Thanks again!" | |

| 1 Jun 2005 | Jennifer Russo | Loading...I really love her wings. The way the colors cause them to seem like a separate entity than her body is really interesting. The coloration is also very creative! Her arm seems just a little weird, though... the way it's bent looks odd bacause her elbow isn't sharp-edged enough. Her breast also looks off because it seems like the curves go deeper into her chest than they should. Other than those little flukes, though, this piece is great. (= Tamara Turner replies: "*sigh* I think I have covered this already, Faery anatomy is SIMILAR to human anatomy, but alas, faeries are not human so why do we insist that they share our exact science of proportion? Yes I used a live model for the piece, but I also had the creativity to adjust it to my liking and in way to fit the mood and character of the faery. I suggest reading a page from Brian Froud's books on faeries. this piece is not meant to be an anatomical piece." | |
| 26 Oct 2005 | Mika | Loading...I really love this picture. I think her body looks a little unnatural, but it just adds to the overall fairy-ness of the picture and further enchants me. Well done! Tamara Turner replies: "Thank you for understanding this piece, much obliged!" | |
| 2 Feb 2006 | Anonymous | Loading...Just a lil fyi.... Some ppl can bend their back like that. I can because of my back problems... I have scoliosis and kyphosis... Yeah so i like this one just because it relates to me.... And i mean common... Who wouldnt wanna be a faerie? Tamara Turner replies: "I think its cool you can bend your back like that! Kudos to you! I am also glad you related to this piece, that is quite a compliment in itself!" | |
| 29 Jun 2007 | Elizabeth Mueller | Loading...Wow! I love her wings. They remind me of a wonderful mix of the artists Nene Thomas and Amy Brown. (pyramidcollection.com) Her wings remind me of a beautiful stained-glass window. Love your work! | |
