"...and you thought I would forget."

In The Prophecy, book I in the Thundering Magic series, Arleen mentions she has never seen a red rose in person, for her nation (Fiëno) is colorless. Time passes [this part is not in the first book], they are far away from her homeland, and what do you know, James didn't forget.

Simply beautiful! I love the slight sketchy-ness of the style and the pastel colour palette, it suits the theme perfectly. Nice detail work on the clothes too, and great work on their pose and expressions, they look so sweet together. I also like your simple description very much, it has all the emotion needed. Love doesn’t need many words I guess, a loving gesture does so much more. Keep up the wonderful work!

I love how the fragility of the picture enhances it so much, especially for Arleen. The ligh colors and background do well for the emotion between the characters. Lovely.
