Tag As FavoriteComment		it's a little known fact about goats that they are actually sort of...well...reverse butterflies. a goat is actually born with very fine vestigial wings, and must build a coccoon in which to undergo metamorphasis. they remain inside the pupa for three weeks, then emerge, totally goatful and having lost the wings of the larval form. this picture shows the goat weaving the coccoon. a commission - a portrait of a rather lovely lamancha goat called 'mysterious ways'

This is a lovely picture. I was actually able to tell it was a La Mancha goat before I'd even fully read your description. Beautiful work!
