"Hern" by Thomas M Butler

This is inspired by an image of the horned god on an ancient  golden cup. A fertility deity, Celtic mythology has him as the leader of  the Wild  Hunt.  He goes by many names. 

This image was done for the Druid Mythril Star Order an offshoot of RDNA (Reformed Druids of North America), they are heavily involved in environmental causes and protection of the coast redwood which they hold sacred. In RDNA and the Order of the Mithril Star this also represents Dalon ap Landu Guardian of the Groves. 

Also in modern neo-paganism the male energies are often represented in this form as consort to the Lady, the triple goddess who can also have many names and aspects. 2005 photoshop and Illustrator.
