| 5 Oct 2007 | Therese L. Davis | Loading...Do you remember the board game "Operation?" This kind of reminds me of that...only more morbid. lol. I thing the shadows are awesome here! Also, How on earth did you do the tile? Oh and a quick question...you mentioned in your description of this picture a website...Artwanted...is that website any good? Do you think it is more successful than DeviantArt. The reason I ask is that I pay to belong to DA...and have yet to see the finacial bennifits...lol..I have a premium print account and subscription. What level of memebership would you suggest I join at, free account or premium? Thanks, hun Tony Orzech replies: "Yes! I had "Operation" (not to be confused with playing doctor ;-)...... when it was first sold. My Grand Nephew has a version of it now as well. This piece was done in Photoshop. I don't like to see individuals use the program's texture fills. I can always tell when they do because they always look fake. But with the right amount of manipulation and in the right areas they can sometimes be made to work. The floor was created in several layers. 1st I manipulated the texture effect and adjusted the color and gradient effect for the lighting. On another layer I drew a grid that would become the lines that form the tiles. Then split that into 4 parts, each on their own layer. Then I applied a bevel and emboss to each of the 4 parts that made up the 4 corners of the floor. I did this because the light source casts shadows in different directions so each corner of the floor needed their own effect filter to get the 4 different shadow directions. I could have done that by hand but it would have taken longer. So that is basically how it was done. I spent some time experimenting with different layers and effects and settings until I found what I liked. About these gallery sites. The main thing to remember is that all of these online galleries are NOT fine art galleries with individuals working to market and sell your art. Just as if you had your own website, You are responsible for moving traffic to your page or you rely on chance. I don't want to go into a lot of detail here but you can Email me if you want to discuss it more." | |

I think it is worth revisiting and finishing."

| 8 Dec 2011 | James David Casey | Loading...Why are aliens always shown to be abducting humans and expermenting upon them?...except the Na’vi, but they’re Native Americans in space and don’t count....
It’s like elves and faires, they’re always good (except dark elves) and minotaurs, dragons and the such are usually evil
